Cottage Canoeing

Cottage Canoeing

WHERE DID THE WEEKEND GO?! We just got back from the cottage and are sitting on the couch crashing from a busy weekend. For those who don’t know, my grandma passed away last week and needless to stay we were pretty exhausted the past few days. We had a really warm day on Saturday and decided to pop out in the canoe for the first ride of the year. I was brainstorming possible canoe/camping trips when Ryan asked me how difficult it would be to attach a fishing motor to the canoe. LOL. We had been canoeing for a while but I think we may need to work our way up to for longer endurance trips!

Another favourite moment of the weekend was watching Sophie (our puppy) run around the cottage. Most dogs I know tend to run a little bit or linger around the door hoping to come inside. Sophie has this child-like imagination and can spend hours outside running around. She likes to do running loops around the cottage followed by splashes in the creek. I don’t know how she can run full speed for so many hours, but it brings me so much joy to watch her running. She has been running non-stop for the last few days and has finally crashed on her bed at home. She goes from 100% to 0% and nothing in between. However, the good news for us is that she should probably rest/sleep for the next couple of days giving us a bit of a break!

Thats all for now!

xoxo L

Cottage weekends are never long enough. Cottage weekends should be five days and work weeks should be only two days.

LOL I completely agree! They are way too short! It was so nice seeing you this weekend though 🙂 We will need to bring Marley over to tire Sophie out next time!
