Toronto Greenhouse & Life Update

Hi there! I just realized that it has been exactly a month since my last blog post, which is my longest break yet. We have taken a few photos recently but the really cold weather has kept us hibernating! We also lost my Grandpa this past month at the age of 90 years. We were all very sad to see him pass, but knew he was going to a better place. Between the cold weather and our family events, these greenhouse photos are the first photos I have taken in a long time!

When I was a child, my parents used to take us to greenhouses in the middle of winter to look at the plants and get some energy out. We would go up and down each aisle, sheltered from the cold, while my parents browsed for some houseplants. After hearing that Phil the groundhog was subjecting us to another six weeks of winter, we decided to head to a greenhouse.

There is just something so rejuvenating about walking into a greenhouse and smelling the humid perfume air. We went super early on Saturday morning and had the entire place to ourselves. We must have spent over an hour checking out the different plants and reminding ourselves of warmer times.

I have also gotten the millennial plant fever recently after browsing Instagram for an embarrassing amount of time. My feed kept getting filled with beautiful houseplants and before I knew it, I am now the proud owner of 13 houseplants (in the period of two weeks). I have also watched (what feels like) every YouTube plant video ever made and am teetering on becoming a crazy plant lady. But now we get to play the waiting game to see if I can keep them alive!
