Initially, I wasn’t going to do a blog post on our trip to the Toronto Christmas Market since things are a little hectic before the holidays. However, I thought it would be fun to share some pictures and updates on our holiday plans! Last weekend, we headed to the Toronto Christmas Market for our first time. We decided to go during the day (even though we missed the light shows) since it was less crowded, free, and was better for our schedule. We ended up going to the Toronto Christmas Market in the middle of a blizzard, which was very festive but made strolling a bit more challenging. Overall, it was very pretty and Instagram worth but not quite worth the hype that we had heard. We are both glad we saw the market but we probably wouldn’t make it a regular event each year.
My favourite part was actually the walk to the Toronto Christmas Market from Union Station! It only took us about 20 minutes but we saw so many iconic Toronto places along the way. Our favourite were Brooksfield Place, the Gooderham Building, St. Lawrence Market and David Crombie Park, which are all along the walk to the Toronto Christmas Market! Lots of pictures below!
On a sad note, we saw a pedestrian that had been killed moments earlier by a truck going through an intersection. It was a harsh reminder to be safe during these holiday seasons with distracted drivers and bad weather!
On a more positive note, we are off to Boston and London this Christmas to visit family and celebrate the holidays. This will be my last post before Christmas and I wanted to wish you a joyous time with your family and friends! Thank you again for reading my blog and your support!
